I've been asked this question by others many, many times and I find it very weird. Because every morning I wake up, when I look into the morning, I see a nerdy, Chinese, Malaysian girl staring back at me. Not Korean, not Japanese, not even half-White
(I'm trying not to be racist here), but seriously?
Scene 1 - Working at mum's shop
Customer 1: Hi, can I buy some ink cartridges?
Me: Oh, yea, sure. What model?
Customer 2: HP 21.
So I went to get the ink.
Customer 1: If you don't mind me asking, are you Japanese?
Me: Uh...no.
Customer 1: Really? Cause you look like one, doesn't she?
Customer 2: Yes, yes, she does.
Me: No...I'm...chinese...
Scene 2 - Family Reunion
Aunt 1: Oh, Jessica! Long time no see, how are you now?
Me: I'm fine, aunty.
Aunt 1: How about your parents?
Me: They're good too. Thanks for asking.
Aunt 1: I was watching "Jewel in the Palace" the other day. You look just like the lead actress.
Me: *Awkward Laugh* Ooookay.
Aunty 1: Really, you do look like her, doesn't she?
All aunties: Yes, yes, she does.
Dad & I: No......
Jewel in the Palace is a Korean tv series about a maid in the palace, if you don't know that.
Scene 3 - Shopping with my mum and my cousin
Mum: How much is it for this kueh?
Shop lady: RM5 for 3.
Me: Hey, Yas! Lookie here, they have kueh that we like.
Yas: Yea, make sure to not buy like the last time you did.
Me: I thought everybody wanted more.
Yas: Well, they didn't.
Shop Lady: Ma'am, is your husband angmoh(white person)?
Mum: ......no.
Shop Lady: Then why your two daughters *points finger*
Mum: They are my daughter and my sister's daughter.
Shop Lady: Ooooh....
Yas & I
Conclusion, I am 100% Made in Malaysia, 100% Chinese and 100% Girl(I'll leave that story for next time). So don't go telling me your first impression of me is that I'm not chinese, though it is pretty cool, but no! =D

The Green-eyed Monster Within Me
I am so proud myself. I learnt how to import and export my blogs, so the posts of my old blog has officially moved in.
Yay me! =3
Basically, I'm a girl with a lot of wants. So I get jealous pretty easily, I just don't it off often. =D So here's the top 10 things that I'm jealous off (it's not in order).
- Girls with legs that are skinny that when you put your feet together, there's a gap in between your thighs.
- Kids with cool gizmos and gadgets. I didn't even get a PlayStation 2 when my mum promised me that I could have one. My childhood was probably ruined because of that.
- Girls with pretty hair. I pretty much have a bad hair day everyday of the week.
- People who are taller than me. I'm 5 ft 2-3 in, which is shorter than average.
- People who have more heels than me. This is supposed to cover my lack in height, it supposed to be my superpower.
- People who eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and don't gain a pound. That is just pure evil I tell you.
- The Rich & Famous. I mean, who doesn't want to be rich & famous.
- Smart asses. While my heart breaks when I don't pass, their hearts break when they don't get straight As.
- People who have life. I don't have a life. That's why I am here supposedly working during a public holiday.
- Houses that has a massive kitchen that has everything a cook needs. I <3 cooking.
There's probably more than that but these are the one that are at the top of my head. Oh wait, there's one more.
- Photogenic people. I hate doing retakes for a photo. It's just not in the moment anymore and I probably have more than 5 photos that look exactly the same in my camera.
Okie, I'm totally done.
At times, I'll just get so riled up and be angry at everyone because of the unfairness I believed in
(or it's probably that time of the month). But there's a thing that my mum said that was really meaningful...
"I don't wanna work tomorrow. All my friends don't have to work, they can rest during holidays. That's so unfair!"
"You thought life is fair? Life is actually unfair. If it was fair, there wouldn't be homeless people living on the streets. If life was fair, in Africa, there won't be so many hungry children. Look at you, you have house and eating fried chicken
(I was having KFC at that time). So do you still think life is fair?"
"......uh, no."
"Ok, good. Now eat your chicken, later cold, not nice anymore."
And moral of the story is
when you have fried chicken, be sure to eat it while it's hot, cause when it's cold, it ain't nice to eat anymore.
This kept me from thinking about the bad things in my life and just focus on the good things on life, lyke how awesome times are when I'm with my friends, or how lucky am I to have my mum (my mum is awesome in her own...motherly awesome way).
So be sure to think positive, and be optimistic in life, because after the bitter moments, there's always the tender sweet moments to make you feel great again. Have an awesome MERDEKA holiday and I'll be having one too. =)

Primed and Ready for Action

Lol, I'm very very very busy ever since college started. Seriously, classes, my peeps, Musical Theatre, exams, and many more stuff.
But I guess, I'm happy to be back...to blog, I mean. Plus, I'm going to have my 2 weeks hols soon, so you'll see more of me,you better lyke seeing me. And most probs, I might be ranting/crying/screaming bout my Trials results which might be pretty not awesome, not awesome at all.
Right now I'm having my Trials, so this is weird. I'm not suppose to blog...I'm suppose to STUDY!! But I can't. No mood to study at all....
So I'll rant instead XD

I Love GLEE!!!
I'm an official gleek, can't you tell? I've been hooked on this tv series ever since I've watched the preview on tv and I went to a website to watch them online.
Glee is one word...AWESOME!!! I <3 Kurt, Artie, Mercedes, Quinn and the whole cast, the songs, and most importantly, SUE SYLVESTER. Sue's major awesome.
Now I've watched the whole season, downloaded the soundtrack and kinda memorized some of the lyrics and quotes by heart. But the most amazing thing/update is that Glee Season 2 is coming out soon, September 21 2010. So don't call me the day after and give me spoilers cause I got my ballet exam the next day.
Not only Glee has been on my mind, but I've been YouTube-ing a lot lately. My friend, Sophia, got me addicted to this guy, Ryan Higa, which most people will know him as nigahiga. He makes the most hilarious videos ever, along with Kevin Wu a.k.a. KevJumba. Kevin also makes videos at the channel JumbaFund, where each time a video is viewed, there's donation to charities. I thought that this is pretty amazing, how charitable of him.
I also realized that I've been YouTube-ing asian people (That was not a racist comment, for your info). Ryan Higa, Japanese American; KevJumba, Chinese American(should be as his dad speaks chinese); Michelle Phan, Vietnamese American; HappySlip - Christine Gambito, Philippine American. So that kinda proved my statement.
So go watch them. They are awesome. =)

Mummy, mummy...I see staaars...*faints*
Obviously I'm not a good mood to blog at the moment.
I'm sick!!! (In the flu-fever-cough way, not the "other" way) I got the flu after Friday, probably from that delicious fried dumplings. Oh, how I hate you so when you fill my tummy ->to dumplings
Came in to class today with a really thick jacket and a (colourful!)polka dotted scarf, I definitely do not look like I'm in Malaysia(if some freezing below 0°C country, then maybe yes). But I feel much better now =) i think...
I've decided to be hardworking in updating my blogs. I shall update them...once a week! Is that good enough? O.o Most likely you'll only hear from me next month.......because next week is next month, hahahahahahaha! Gosh, I'm so lame... XS
Bio makes me burn so much that I want to light the test paper with a fire. It is sooo ironic. I wanted to drop bio in form 4, saying that I won't need it in college and in my future career. And look where I'm standing now. In a class that takes biology lessons....uuugh...twisted much.
Anyways, I feel a little more relieved now after two not-so-major test. I'm praying so hard to pass my papers...PASS....this is what you get when you majorly blank out right before your test. Please do not try this at home.

It is a sign that another year is gone...poofed! A new year for new beginnings! =]
And just so happens that CNY falls on Feb 14, which is Valentines Day and also my darling daddy's birthday =) all my money go 'whoosh' down the drain.
I can't wait to go back to Johor. They have like the best food there, mmmm...mouth watering =P I'm going to be a big blob of fat, rolling about to get across the room. I can see it now XS
Did you know that people are actually taking advantage of Valentines Day? It's the same thing about Christmas. I mean, Valentines Day is actually the day Saint Valentine died(For Xmas, the opposite). We are actually celebrating the death of a saint(says his name). What in the world has come to?
By the way, this doesn't mean I wouldn't accept any gifts. Yea, I'm a hypocrite...but it the thoughts that count right? XD

HOT NEWS: Girl Who Sleeps Scores Straight As O.O
What in the world is the world is coming to?
I have to admit it is pretty impressive to have a total of 11 students scoring straight As for IGCSE, considering that only 2 students from the previous year scored the same results.
And I'm one of the 11....Booyeah!!!!!
5A*s and 3A, baby!! Woot!! Haha, seem surreal XD
I really didn't expect to obtain those results, really. I'm a constant C- student in Business Studies and English and constant B in Biology, Chemistry, Physics. But, I got As for the former and A*s for the latter. Really? Is it possible? Yes, I do believe so!! So for my fellow SPM friends out there..don't worry, you'll do well. I have faith in all of you guys. =)
But I kinda depressed that I got A for Additional Mathematics. It's still an A, but I expected to get an A*. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
However, I believe that a lot of people did really well for Add. Maths. Probably CIE shifted the curve to the right, bringing the requirements higher. So maybe a few friends and I were the slightly lower than the others, when the graph shifted, it might affected our grades.
Well, now I've gotten those out of the way, I believe that I have something more interesting to say...I think.
On Thursday, I auditioned for the college's music theater. Oh god...I think I made a complete fool of myself.
Jessie, Liz, Sophia and I were just practicing in class before the auditions, and when it was my turn...hell broke loose....
At one point in the middle of my song, I practically slammed myself against the whiteboard, dropped onto the floor, and started to roll on the floor. I admit it...I'm a freak XD
During auditions, I realized...no one was dancing or moving about. I mean, when I asked the teacher in charge, he said that we're expected to have some movements when performing. And participants, who I watched performed, just belted out their songs. The teachers, who were judging the auditions, only filmed their heads.
The things were going through my mind was "Wow, she has a good voice!", "They sound so good", "Am I going to be the only idiot running around the stage?"
When it was my go, I had, you know, the usual butterflies in my tummy. Rub-a-dub-dub. I told them that I was going to sing "Part of Your World' from The Little Mermaid. The judges were lyke "Wow...little mermaid..." and probably the other contestants "What the hell? Little Mermaid? Isn't she too old for this?"
I can't say whether my audition went well or not. I leave that for the judges. X)
Another hectic week has gone and more homework is starting to pile up. Gotta go finish it, but knowing me...that would be impossible XD

IGCSE RESULTS ARE COMING OUT SOON!!
OH ILLUNE...SAVE ME...
My results are coming out on the 25th January 2010, this coming Monday. Oh god...I'm freaked out...
Will I be able to get straight A*s? I really really want, but we can't get something that is not yours...I'd be lucky if I passed. But, I really really need that results to obtain a scholarship. So I'm kinda depressed right now...
Did you know that we have to log in on to a website to get our results? Although it sounds incredibly convenient, but I don't want to scroll to my doom or something. I prefer getting results the old-fashioned way. The I-walk-up-teacher-and-get-my-results way. In a way, it's less pressurizing(to me that is).
So if anyone reads this, please note that it would be nice to receive some encouragement from you guys. =)
